In his will, Thomas Madison leaves his estate to his wife Susanna, sons Patrick and Thomas, and his daughters Peggy Sale and Annie Madison. He considered his son John Henry Madison and daughter Agatha Bowyer amply provided for. Included in his estate were land in Botetourt and Wythe counties, Virginia, Tennessee, and Ohio, and slaves.
